and is directed by Henry Hathaway.
Whaling ship captain Bering Joy takes his grandson Jed on a whaling
expedition to teach him life values such as honesty, courage,
wisdom,fairness and hard work. First mate Dan Lunceford is entrusted with
teaching Jed his schoolwork.
This is a Twentieth
Century Fox Cinema Archives release and has great video and audio
quality. There is no special features included with this release. The
film in
presented in b&w, Full screen and runs for about 120mins (2hrs).
I would give this film a 7/10 and the DVD a 3/5. Overall this is a good DVD release and is a film I recommend.
